Erdogan says Turkey is monitoring developments in Yemen, Somalia

(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Türkiye is “closely” monitoring developments in Yemen and Somalia during a phone call on Sunday with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, underscoring the need to safeguard stability and protect the territorial integrity of both countries.

The two leaders exchanged views on bilateral ties as well as regional and global issues during the call.

Erdogan voiced Ankara’s willingness to help facilitate dialogue among rival parties in Yemen and noted that Türkiye intends to strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia through additional steps in the coming period.

He also warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating further with the arrival of winter, stressing that Türkiye continues its efforts toward achieving a lasting ceasefire and supporting reconstruction in the war-ravaged enclave.
