Turkish Markets Begin the Day on a Positive Note
During Wednesday’s trading, the BIST 100 index fell by 0.55%, finishing the day at 11,286.81 points. Total turnover for the session reached 113.7 billion Turkish liras ($2.66 billion), indicating active market participation.
By 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), currency markets showed the Turkish lira trading at 42.7335 against the US dollar, 50.2995 versus the euro, and 57.2405 in relation to the British pound.
In commodities, gold prices stood at $4,334.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was being exchanged at a level of $60 per barrel.
